Linux Mint 17 - WIFI disabled upon wakeup

When I put my laptop to sleep and wake it up I find that WIFI is disabled in network manager. Unless I restart the laptop it doesn't get enabled. An issue similar to this has been discussed here I believe Mint has inherited this issue from Ubuntu since similar issues are discussed in the Ubuntu forum as well.

Based on the discussion on that thread I did the following workaround. Put the following script in /etc/pm/sleep.d and make it executable. I have name the script as "".

case "$1" in
        service network-manager restart
exit $?
